Are you a goal setter?
Are you a goal setter?
Rewards present themselves in more packages than just money. The sky is the limit for absolutely anything you set out to do. It may take hard work, commitment and dedication, but come on you’re worth it, right??
Through my experience selling new homes for 15+ years, paid 100% commission, I developed into a goal setter FAST! It was called Survival. As in any sales job, it isn’t rocket science…if you don’t have a goal set for the number sales you need to meet or exceed your goals for the company and to also satisfy your own personal/financial goals, you might as well quit. Step 1 to becoming successful at anything in life is…KNOW WHAT YOUR GOAL IS. One of the best pieces of advice ever given to me was ‘you must always see the end from the very beginning’. Once accomplished, you can then formulate a plan to achieve it.
Over time, I thrived off working for commission because it was exhilarating to be challenged & I was forced to transform into looking ahead and trained to never lose focus. Even the smallest blur opens the door for competition to sweep in and take advantage. I was fueled with the gamble of knowing it was very possible I’d make no money, but my vision was directed on the income potential being LIMITLESS. The difference between burning my fuel to create a raging fire or a tiny flame, was dependent on my approach and mindset. Having a career with this risk and constant pressure to obtain goals may not be for everyone but applying the same strategy in real life should be.
Close your eyes and imagine being financially rewarded simply by making healthy choices in your meals and snacks, losing enough weight where you feel comfortable, engaged in more activities you enjoy, and put taking care of yourself in a higher position of priority. Now, envision what would you do to achieve those goals? How much time would you find in your day to work harder at obtaining those goals? My guess is if you were getting paid in money form, you would do anything and everything to make changes, but rewards come in more packages than just money. What if your payment was to feel refreshed? To become a happier person? To look forward to each day, no matter what the schedule holds for you (even work!)? To feel good in your body and not achy and tired? A healthy you is the best gift that no amount of money can buy for your loved ones. How much value do you give these things? If you make the choice to lose focus & do nothing, it’s inevitable the competition (aka reality) will come in and take advantage. Why let it? YOU have control.
When you set the goal for good health and commit yourself to achieve it, the sky’s the limit in rewards. Trust me!
It all just starts with a goal, that’s it!
So, back to the original question…are you a goal setter?
